Day 1: Sandakan - Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre - Sun Bear Conservation Centre - Kinabatangan River

Your adventure begins with a warm greeting upon your arrival at Sandakan Airport or your hotel. After meeting your guide, head towards the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, one of the most renowned conservation efforts for orangutans. Walk through the Outdoor Nursery, where you’ll get a closer look at the adorable younger orangutans, before making your way to the Feeding Platform. Watch in awe as these majestic creatures swing through the trees, reaching the platform for their midday meal.
Next, head to the nearby Sun Bear Conservation Centre, home to the world’s smallest bear. Get an up-close view of these remarkable creatures as they roam in a naturalistic setting. After lunch, continue your journey towards Bilit, located along the Kinabatangan River.
Arrive at Bilit Adventure Lodge in the afternoon, where you can enjoy a refreshing cup of local tea. Later, embark on a captivating river cruise along the Kinabatangan River, the longest river in Sabah. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings as you float through the dense rainforest. After a delicious dinner, you have the option to join an optional night walk to discover nocturnal creatures of the forest.

Day 2: Kinabatangan River - Jungle Walk & Boat Cruise

Start your day with an early morning boat cruise to catch the river at its most serene, while spotting wildlife that awakens with the sunrise. After an exhilarating hour on the water, return to the lodge for breakfast.
At 9:00 AM, enjoy a guided jungle walk through the riverine forest. Learn about the fascinating flora and fauna that thrive in this unique ecosystem, with expert guides pointing out the hidden gems of the rainforest. After your walk, return to the lodge for a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, at 4:00 PM, embark on your second boat cruise of the day to explore further stretches of the Kinabatangan River, keeping an eye out for more wildlife in this biodiverse haven. Enjoy another delightful dinner and relax for the night at the lodge.

Day 3: Kinabatangan River - The Buwan Dive Resort, Semporna
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Chalet Room
After breakfast, it’s time to leave Bilit for the tranquil shores of The Buwan Dive Resort in Semporna. A scenic drive of about 4 hours will take you to the resort, where you can check in and enjoy a delightful lunch. Spend your afternoon at leisure, with the option of participating in in-house activities such as a glass-bottom boat tour, snorkeling, or even night diving.
Enjoy dinner at the resort and relax in your cozy chalet room for the night, with the sound of the ocean waves lulling you to sleep.

Day 4: The Buwan Dive Resort - Island Hopping & Snorkeling Adventure
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Chalet Room
After breakfast, your island-hopping adventure begins! At 8:30 AM, set off for one of three spectacular routes, exploring the vibrant underwater worlds of Mabul Island and Kapalai Island, Timba-Timba, Mataking, and Pom Pom Islands, or Bohey Dulang Hike, Mantabuan Island, and Sibuan Island. Whether you’re snorkeling, diving, or trying out discovery scuba diving, this is your opportunity to immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters of the Celebes Sea.
A packed lunch will be provided, allowing you to refuel before returning to the mainland by 4:00 PM. Afterward, enjoy dinner at the resort, where you can reflect on the wonders of the day.

Day 5: Departure

On your final morning, enjoy breakfast at the resort before your transfer to Tawau Airport for your onward journey.
